From the 20 May 2016 Raw Art and Pandora Vaughan will be taking over 6 Malden Road, Kentish Town, London NW5 3HR as Grrrr! – a new pop up art space n shop. Oh yes. We have an actual shop-type thing which will sell stuff fer realz. Like, IRL. Man. Wooh. We should be open until July and maybe beyond.
Grrrr! has four Rs. Grrrr Art! Roar Arrt! Grrrr Power! Kapow!
The piece about it in the Kentishtowner is now online.
There'll be some of the stuff on here, new prints 'n' paintings AND we now have some very special artists showing. Performance art, pencil whittling theme days, we'll show some of my short animation films, and that. Come to our shop. You will not want to leave... and besides, we may not let you.

Yes, I'm doing #livedraw Eurovision TODAY, May 14. Painting each act in real time on the Twitter. It will run a little similar to this, from 2014. You can buy a lucky dip painting as the show starts and ALL PROCEEDS [i.e. minus postage fees and PayPal charges alone] will go to Great Ormond Street. Back down to £5 a painting, simple as. I will add a PayPal button soon... On the PayPal form there may be the slightest possibility that you can add your preference in the "notes to seller" bit but I'm not promising anything....
There are 26 acts and there will be 26 paintings or a couple more if Nigella or someone else faintly tragic and beautiful [Not Jedward] does the UK voting panel thing. Just heard Justin Timberlake is on so deffo doing him. As it were.
Wurgh! Time to get started!
Each painting is Schminke watercolour on postcard-sized [A6] paper. Will be sent in an envelope to you (if you buy one) next week.

Tonight's the night - for making it right. Or something. I don't know.
But it's the England V Holland friendly on actual real telly tonight, the sort of thing that I like drawing – so after a hiatus of FUCKING YEARS (almost) I'm going to draw the football. And Wayne "Pundit" Rooney's head. And Anyone Else. Jon Savage. Jeremy Corbyn. Tutankhamun. Kung Fu Panda.
So - keep it here for updates, but actually just keep it Twitter.
I've just dropped a whole bottle of wine in the supermarket. And I'm off to spray paint some Fabriano paper.

Stranglers Artwork
What's that in the shadows? Well, it's the Stranglers. Four men, in black. Four of 'em, like a boy band. But a bit dirty, ugly, misogynistic - entirely wrong wrong wrong. They don't dance, they don't sing, Well, yeah, they sing. But they aint no 1D.
That's why we are drawn to them and we like them. Wrong wrong wrong.
This is the Black and White sleeve, not entirely white - a lotta grey. They are lurking from outta dem shadows like big lurky beasts and one is tiny and one looks like he has no head and the big one in the flasher mac at the front - well, you know. You know by now. The Stranglers are the Pistols' shifty uncles; Take That's dodgy greengrocers, 1 Direction's estranged husbands.

New Sweary Print
The Smell of paint. The odour of hate. The warm pillows of disinterest.
This is the sort of song I'd sing to myself in the cruel bitterness of January '16, which was bloody awful. Or at least totally depressing.
I thought, if Raw Art had a perfume line, which I'd obviously really like, what would our first scent be? What would our first scent, scent of?
Would it be mossy lichens gambolling in the snow?
A horse trying to draw an orange?
Seventeen tulips queuing to get in a packed tube carriage?
No, none of that. Our first fragrance would fray of the smell of paint, and the odour of hate blah blah. And maybe a bit of musk. And maybe the tube carriage. It would be called "Fuck This Shit" because it just would. And we at Raw Art would rather have a poster than an actual smell because we smell quite great anyway and if you want more of a painty feel you can dab some acrylics behind your ears and head off into the so-called night.

If you like prints and you like this sort of thing here's the info: they are A3 size and limited to 30. Printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper, £40 each inc postage and packing. A snip. The print in the photos has been framed using black mountboard - the print has a small white border. All signed and numbered.
Each print is sent via Royal Mail in a cardboard tube. Please allow up to ten days for delivery.
